Reflecting on Our Second Week at EVE! 🐾

What a wonderful start to the 2026–27 school year! As we wrap up our second week at East Valley Elementary, it has been so exciting to see our classrooms come alive with learning, laughter, and new friendships. 🎉

Our Jaguars are settling into routines, building relationships, and showing what it means to be part of our EVE family. I am incredibly proud of the positive energy and kindness I’ve seen throughout our building!

Each week, I’ll continue to share important updates, upcoming events, celebrations, and special highlights from around our EVE community. Thank you for partnering with us and for helping make East Valley Elementary such a special place for our students.

🐾 Principal’s Message — Week 2

Hello EVE Families,

We are officially underway, and I am so excited about the year ahead! As our students move beyond those first-day jitters, we are focusing on building strong routines, positive habits, and a learning environment where every Jaguar feels confident, successful, and ready to learn.

Here are a few important reminders and exciting things happening this week:

⏰ Monday is Our First Late Start!

This Monday is our first district late-start Monday.

Doors Open: 9:25 AM
School Starts: 9:55 AM
Dismissal: 3:25 PM

Please plan accordingly. Students should not arrive before doors open at 9:25 AM.

🐾 Developmental PreK Staggered Start

Our Developmental PreK program begins its staggered start this week. The staggered schedule runs September 1–18, and families have been notified of their child's assigned schedule.

This gradual start helps our youngest Jaguars become comfortable with their teachers, classrooms, routines, and new school environment.

Developmental PreK runs Tuesday -Friday:

☀️ Morning Session: 8:45–11:00 AM

🌙 Afternoon Session: 12:30–3:15 PM

Regular PreK classes begin Tuesday, September 22.

For student safety, families should meet the PreK teachers at the fire hydrant at their scheduled arrival or pick-up time. This helps ensure students are supervised and allows our PreK team to be ready for each Jaguar. Thank you for helping us make arrival and dismissal safe and smooth! 🐾

🐾 Wednesday is Jaguar Wednesday!

Every Wednesday is Jaguar Wednesday! Students and staff are encouraged to wear their EVE/Jaguar gear or school colors and show their Jaguar pride.

Let's fill EVE with Jaguar spirit! 🐾

🍂 PTO Fall Fundraiser

Our PTO Fall Fundraiser officially kicked off Friday! Fundraiser packets were sent home with students. Please review the information and see how you can support our students and EVE!

Thank you for supporting our PTO and the wonderful experiences and opportunities they provide for our students. 🐾

📚 EVE Readiness Challenge

We are excited to kick off our EVE Readiness Challenge!

This challenge is designed to help students build and strengthen routines that support learning—all while having some fun along the way! We want our Jaguars to become increasingly independent and confident in the everyday routines that help our school run smoothly and maximize learning time.

We would love your support at home! Please see the information below for challenge details and ways you can help.

Remember, the goal isn't perfection—it’s about building positive habits, practicing routines, and celebrating growth! 🐾

🇺🇸 A Short Week Ahead!

There will be no school on Friday, Sept. 4th or Monday, Sept. 7th, in observance of Labor Day.

We hope everyone enjoys the long weekend and has some extra time to spend together as a family!

East Valley Elementary Fall Fundraiser: Sell 35 items to win a limo ride to Red Robin.

EVE FALL FUNDRAISER

🐾 Fall Fundraiser Is HERE!

We are officially kicking off our Fall Fundraiser! Packets went home on Friday with order forms, catalogs, prize sheet, and seller tickets. Starting Monday morning students can turn in their parent-signed tickets that corresponds with the number of items they sold. When they turn in their ticket they receive an axolotl character friend and a piece of candy! They are able to turn in their tickets each morning until the end of the fundraiser. Student that sell 35 items or more win a limo ride to Red Robin for lunch! Please feel free to reach out to PTO with any questions.

📅 Important Dates

Friday, August 28: Fundraiser packets and return coupons will be sent home with students.
Monday, August 31: Students may begin turning in coupons based on the number of items they have sold.
Friday, September 18: Fall Fundraiser ends.

Parents/Guardians: Please remember to sign the bottom of each coupon to confirm that your child has sold the number of items indicated.

📌 Important Reminder: Coupons may be turned in daily; however, money and completed order forms should NOT be sent to school until the designated official turn-in day.

🐾 Dear East Valley Families,

We are thrilled to welcome back our amazing East Valley Elementary PTO for the 2026–2027 school year! We are fortunate to have the same dedicated PTO team continuing to serve our school community and make a difference for our students and staff.

Our PTO is made up of caring parents and family members who generously give their time, energy, and creativity to support East Valley Elementary students, teachers, and families. Through fundraisers, school events, staff appreciation, classroom support, and special activities, their efforts help provide experiences and resources that make our school an even more welcoming and engaging place to learn.

We are incredibly grateful for their continued partnership and the countless ways they help make OUR House a special place for our Jaguars. ❤️🖤

EVE Parent Pick-Up & Drop-Off: Parking, Bus Expectations, and Procedures

MORNING DRIVE-UP DROP-OFF PROCEDURES

This is a friendly reminder about our morning drive-up drop-off procedures to help ensure a safe and efficient arrival for all students.

The drive-up lane is designed for quick drop-off only, where students are able to exit the vehicle independently. To keep the line moving smoothly and to reduce safety concerns, we ask that families follow these expectations:

Please remain in your vehicle at all times while in the drive-up lane.
Vehicles should not park, turn off engines, or stop for extended periods in the drop-off line.
Students should be ready to exit promptly once the vehicle reaches the drop-off area.
If your child needs assistance getting out of the car or walking to the building, please park in the lot and escort them safely to the entrance.

These procedures are important to minimize delays and, most importantly, to keep all students and families safe during our busiest arrival time.

Thank you for your cooperation and support as we work together to maintain a smooth and safe morning routine for everyone. 🐾
