Parents and Families,

 

We were very excited when we received news from the Yakima Health Dept. that students would be returning to a full-day schedule on April 26, 2021.  The intent of this letter is to describe changes to our daily routine, until the end of the year.

 

Safety Protocols: East Valley School District will continue with the daily attestation (golden ticket), temperature checks, masking and social distancing.  Students will remain in their classroom cohort, as much as possible throughout the day.

 

Daily Schedule: School Hours will be Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 8:55am to 3:25pm and Wednesdays from 8:55am to 11:55am.  Doors will not open until 8:40am. It is important that students not be dropped off prior to that time.

 

Lunches: Students will eat outside, weather permitting, following six foot or greater distance. Lunches will be available to all students, free of charge, for the remainder of the year.  Menus will be posted on the district website and are subject to change without notice.  If students bring lunches from home, please note that microwaves will not be available. Lunches will be served Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday. No breakfasts will be served at school.  Bulk meal distribution will continue on Wednesdays at EVC, Terrace Heights and Moxee for district families.

 

Recess:  The playground has been divided into four zones.  Each class will remain with their class cohort reducing potential exposure.   Students will rotate zones throughout the week.  Masks will be worn at recess.

 

Busing and student pick-up: Elementary and secondary students will no longer be sharing the same bus, therefore allowing for ample room.  In order to reduce parking lot congestion and traffic flow on Beaudry Rd., we encourage bus transportation.  Parents will still be required to remain in cars for student pick-up.  Bus route times will be posted on EVSD website.

 

Medication and Healthcare Needs:  If your student requires medication or will have healthcare needs at school, please contact Melody-Ann Luke 573-7632 prior to April 21,  to help us plan for your child’s needs.

Estábamos muy emocionados cuando recibimos la noticia del Departamento de Salud de Yakima de que los estudiantes regresarán a un horario de día completo el 26 de abril de 2021. La intención de esta carta es describir los cambios en nuestra rutina diaria, hasta el final del año.

 

Protocolos de seguridad: El Distrito Escolar de East Valley continuará con la certificación diaria (boleto dorado), controles de temperatura, enmascaramiento y distanciamiento social. Los estudiantes permanecerán en su grupo de aula, tanto como sea posible durante el día.

 

Horario Diario: El horario escolar será los lunes, martes, jueves y viernes de 8:55 am a 3:25 pm y los miércoles de 8:55 am a 11:55 am. Las puertas no se abrirán hasta las 8:40 am. Es importante que no se deje a los estudiantes antes de esa hora. 

 

Almuerzo: Los estudiantes comerán afuera, si el clima lo permite, siguiendo una distancia de seis pies o más. Los almuerzos estarán disponibles para todos los estudiantes, sin cargo, durante el resto del año. Los menús se publicarán en el sitio web del distrito y están sujetos a cambios sin previo aviso. Si los estudiantes traen almuerzos de casa, tenga en cuenta que no habrá microondas disponibles. Los almuerzos se servirán los lunes, martes, jueves y viernes. No se servirán desayunos en la escuela. La distribución de comida a granel continuará los miércoles en EVC, Terrace Heights y Moxee para las familias del distrito.

 

Recreo:  El patio de recreo se ha dividido en cuatro zonas. Cada clase permanecerá con su cohorte de clase reduciendo la exposición potencial. Los estudiantes rotarán zonas durante la semana. Se usarán máscaras en el recreo.

 

Transporte y Recogida de Estudiantes: Los estudiantes de primaria y secundaria ya no compartirán el mismo autobús, lo que permitirá un amplio espacio. Para reducir la congestión del estacionamiento y el flujo de tráfico en Beaudry Rd., Recomendamos el transporte en autobús. Aún se requerirá que los padres permanezcan en los autos para recoger a los estudiantes. Los horarios de las rutas de los autobuses se publicarán en el sitio web de EVSD.

 

Necesidades de Medicación y Atención Médica::  Si su estudiante requiere medicamentos o tendrá necesidades de atención médica en la escuela, comuníquese con Melody-Ann Luke 573-7632 antes del 21 de abril para ayudarnos a planificar las necesidades de su hijo.
