Following an eight-year teaching career on the west side of the state, West and his family relocated to Colorado. While in Colorado, West continued to coach football and track was recognized as the 2015 Colorado Springs Gazette Track and Field Coach of the Year. At Rampart High School, West served as the Assistant Athletic Director and Strength and Conditioning teacher before becoming the Dean of Students in 2015.

In 2020, West accepted an Assistant Principal/Athletic Director position at Banning Lewis Preparatory Academy in Colorado Springs. Mr. West and his wife have been eager to get back to the Pacific Northwest. With their youngest daughter graduating high school this year, the timing and opportunity to relocate was optimal.

Mr. West has over 20 years’ experience coaching at the varsity level. He received his Masters of Science in Athletic Administration from Central Washington University.
