Five years ago we began heavily investing our time and resources into the successful implementation of the PLC (professional learning communities) process. PLCs are our grade-level and department teaching teams that work together to evaluate effective teaching strategies by looking at student data each Monday morning. This work guides their lessons for both core and differentiated instruction.
To be recognized as a Solution Tree Model PLC, our district, educators, support staff and administrators have had to show a, "sustained commitment to helping all students achieve at high levels." This commitment means that they have been willing to go the extra mile to shape the structure and culture of their teams and schools to support student growth and achievement. We could not be more pleased with the level of dedication we are seeing from our staff and students to make this essential work so successful in East Valley schools.
